About Our Department

Advanced Informatics Department (AID) specialises in the area of Informatics and is the preferred referral department in the fields of Business Intelligence and Analytics, Software Engineering, Informatics, Information Assurance and Computer System Engineering. AID plays a major role in contributing to Faculty of Technology and Informatics Razak’s (FTIR) achievements in research, publication and consultancy, as well as post-graduate teaching and learning. Multidisciplinary approaches and lifelong learning have been practiced as key to discovery and in the conception of knowledge. AID also harnesses innovative research culture through synergistic partnership with industries and other stakeholders focusing on leading edge solutions. This collaboration allows our AID members and graduate students research to focus around industrial problems and beyond departmental and individual program context.
