GUIDE FOR AUTHORS

PARTICIPANT CATEGORIES
There are two types of categories for participant:

CATEGORY A – Participants who register for presentation and publication in Scopus Indexed Conference Proceedings.
CATEGORY B – Participants who register for presentation only. No paper will be published.

CATEGORY A
EXTENDED ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Step 1. Extended Abstract Writing Format

Please ensure that your extended abstract is written according to the Extended Abstract Template which can be downloaded here. The length of the extended abstract should be no more than two (2) pages in A4 size, including figures, tables and references (maximum of 5 references).

IMPORTANT: Please save the title of your files in this order “ARUS2021_EA_corresponding author’s last name”. For example, “ARUS2021_EA_Smith”.

 

Step 2. Extended Abstract Submission

All extended abstract must be submitted in electronic form (MS-Word) via our online submission at this link https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ARUS2021/Submission/index by 20th March 2021. The online submission guidelines can be obtained here.

 

Step 3. Reviewing Process and Notification of Acceptance

Reviews will be conducted by our Abstract Review Committee. Authors of accepted paper will be notified by email.

 

Step 4. Conference Fee Payment

Please make payment via direct wire/money transfer. Please visit our website
https://razak.utm.my/arus2021/cfp/fees/ for details on the conference fee and payment instruction. The official receipt of payment will be emailed to the registered author.

 

CAMERA READY SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Step 1. Preparing for Final Manuscript

Your final paper must be in MS-Word file. Your final paper has to follow the assigned Conference Proceeding’s template which can be downloaded here. The length of final paper should be no more than eight (8) pages and minimum of four (4) pages in A4 size, including figures, tables and references. The paper must be written in good English.

IMPORTANT: Please save the title your files in this order “ARUS2021_FM_corresponding author’s last name”. For example, “ARUS2021_FM_Smith”.

 

Step 2. Final Manuscript Submission

All manuscript must be submitted in electronic form (MS-Word) via our online submission at this link https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ARUS2021/Submission/index by 1st June 2021. The authors also need to attach Plagiarism Report using Turnitin Software. Please ensure that the similarity score is less than 20%.

 

Step 3. Reviewing Process

Reviews will be conducted by at least two independent reviewers.

 

Step 4 : Revision of Final Manuscript

Please revise your paper based on the reviewer(s) evaluation. All corrections must be recorded in the List of Corrections Form, which will be emailed to you or you can download the form here.

 

Step 5. Copyright Transfer Form

By submitting the paper for publication, you, as copyright owner and corresponding author / representative of all the author, agree in full to the terms of license as explicitly stated by the assigned Conference Proceedings Publisher. Some publisher may require you to sign and complete their Copyright Transfer Form, which will be emailed to you.

 

Step 6. Camera Ready Submission

Please upload your revised Camera-Ready manuscript, the Copyright Transfer form (if required) and the List of Corrections form to our online submission platform at this link https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ARUS2021/Submission/index. Please note that failure to follow all the above instructions may result in your paper to be excluded from the publication.

 

PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

ARUS 2021 enforces a “no show” policy. All accepted extended abstracts must be presented during the virtual conference in form of pre-recorded video or live presentation. The guidelines for preparing your online presentation can be obtained here. All pre-recorded video or presentation slides must be emailed to arus.conference@gmail.com with the “Subject: ARUS2021 Virtual Presentation – Paper ID” by 15th June 2021. At least one author must register at the full conference rate for presentation and publication. Paper with no-show presenter will not be submitted for publication.

 

ETHICS IN PUBLISHING

All submitted papers should report original, previous unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical. Authors should report their results clearly, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification or inappropriate data manipulation.

Articles submitted to the conference should meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts should follow the style of the conference and subject to both review and editing.
