RAZAK RESEARCH WEEK WORKSHOP

WORKSHOP 1

Prof. Halimaton has successfully promoted her research and innovative activities globally. She received her Ph.D in Physical Chemistry from University of Cambridge UK in 1989 and was UTM’s first woman Professor at 40. She received her M. Sc degree from Marshall University, USA (1981) and B. Sc degree from Indiana University, USA(1979). She pioneered the Zeolites and Nanostructured Materials Research in Malaysia in 1990. To date, she owns 12 patents, led 25 research programmes and 80 projects. Prof. Halimaton has successfully demonstrated that in-depth understanding in the chemistry of elements and molecules is crucial, which may be further applied to manipulate structures and chemical properties of local natural resources and create novel, commercially viable nano materials with enhanced properties. Her scientific research and scholastic work has received recognitions, including the prestigious Merdeka Award 2009 for the Health, Science and Technology Category.

WORKSHOP 2 

Dr Maslin Masrom is an Associate Professor,  Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kuala Lumpur. She was the Head of Human Capital and Knowledge Management Research Group at Razak Faculty. She teaches Information Technology Strategy, Management Information Systems, ICT Ethics and Society, Advanced Decision Modelling, Knowledge Management and Technology, and  Research Methodology. She has published many technical papers in journals, books and conferences. Her main research interests are in IT/IS Management, Online Social Networking, Women and Technologies, Cloud Computing in Healthcare System, Knowledge Management, Information Security, Ethics in Computing, Operations Research / Decision Modelling, and Structural Equation Modelling. She is one of the Panel Edited Book for Razak faculty. 

Dr. Nor Ashikin Mohd. Yusof is an Associate Professor, Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kuala Lumpur.  Her research interest is on the Intellectual Property [ rights, laws, policy, strategy, commercialization, management, negotiation, landscape],m Biotechnology law + policy, STI Policy [ policy cycle, formulation, design, development, implementation + enforcement, management, governance, review, evaluation. methodologies]4. Public policy + governance and Commercial laws.She is one of the Panel Edited Book for Razak faculty.

Dr. Muhammad Khair bin Noordin is a Senior Lecturer in a Department of Technical and Engineering Education, School of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He is Head of Research Group for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
