Other Executive Diploma
The Executive Diploma Programme which is offered by Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics is an alternative education for industrial workers who do not have the opportunity to further their education in mainstream programmes. It aims to address directly the industry-specific issues and fulfil the needs of the workforce. This program is the first executive diploma programs in Malaysian Higher Education system approved by the MQA. This programme commenced in 2005 and it has produced more than 3,000 graduates.
Executive Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (EDOSH)
The Executive Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (EDOSH) program prepare working sub-professionals, technical and other vocational staff for transition into senior supervisory positions through life-long learning opportunities. The program curriculum is designed and structured on a part time basis for students to share as well as to acquire knowledge and enhance competencies without having to leave their current jobs. In this way, current manpower in organizations could be trained while at the same time to support the upper management in conducting occupational safety and health activities efficiently and innovatively. The program is designed for workers who wish to enhance knowledge and skills with some management roles for career development in Occupational Safety and Health related organizations. EDOSH is awarded to reflect the integrated emphasis on Occupational Safety and Health, within this executive diploma. This is in line with the mission of UTM to be a leader in the development of human capital and innovative technologies that will contribute to the nation’s wealth creation.
Executive Diploma in Engineering Business Management (EDEBM)
Executive Diploma in Engineering Business Management (EDEBM) emphasis on 3 disciplines: Business, Engineering and Management. This program aims to prepare working sub-professionals, technical and other vocational staff for transition into senior supervisory positions through life-long learning opportunities. The program curriculum is designed and structured on a part time basis for students to share as well as to acquire knowledge and enhance competencies without having to leave their current jobs. In this way, current manpower in organizations could be trained while at the same time to support the upper management in conducting engineering business management activities efficiently and innovatively. The program is ideal for workers who see their future with some management roles in engineering based organizations.

Admission Requirement
- At least 21 years of age.
- Passed in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with three (3) credits or obtained a certificate from recognized/accredited educational institution or passed Accreditation Of Prior
- Experiential Learning (Apel) T4
- Candidates had at least three (3) years working experience in a related field
- Candidates must provide current employer verification letter if they are currently working
- Candidates need to pass the interview, if required by UTM
Mechanisms For Learning
An integrated learning approach and assessment methods are applied for the executive diploma programme. Learning activities and case studies discussion are facilitated by lecturers during face to face meetings. Quiz, test, presentation and post module assessment (PMA) methods were stated in the module outlines. PMA assignment were conducted through discussions via internets, self and independent studies. Preparation and analyses of PMA were conducted individually by taking into account student’s prior experiential learning (PEL).
Medium Of Instruction
Lectures and sessions are conducted in Malay or in English; depending on the needs of learners.
Certificate Issuing Body
The Executive Diploma is awarded by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia to graduate, students should:
- Complete a total of 90 credit hours with minimum CPA of 2.00.
- Complete and pass the Diploma Project I (Proposal ) and Diploma Project II (Report).
