Biography

Suriani Mohd Sam received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in networking, from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2013. She is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Intelligence Informatics, Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. In addition, she is serving as a member of the Ubiquitous Broadband Access Network (U-BAN) research group and is actively involved in supervising research projects related to the  Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning and intelligent systems. Her academic involvement includes both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, focusing on intelligent systems and real-world applications of AI technologies.

She is currently a member of the IEEE. She has published journal papers, conference proceedings, and book chapters in the areas of IoT, machine learning, and intelligent systems. Her research interests include IoT architectures, applied machine learning, and data-driven decision systems.
