Title: Collaboration in Smart Sensors Shaping Intelligent Innovations

The forum aims to explore the collaborative synergy between industry and academia in advancing smart sensor technology to drive intelligent innovations. The goal is to discuss the production and integration issues using smart sensors, emphasize the significance of manufacturing innovations and simulation, and promote interdisciplinary cooperation between industry and academics. The forum will offer insights into optimizing design via simulation, addressing production challenges, and enhancing industry-academia partnerships, providing a holistic view of how collaborative efforts in smart sensor technology propel innovation across diverse sectors.

Panel 1

 Mr. Mohammad Zamani Asmat is a Senior Project Manager at Entegris Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., based in Kulim. In addition to holding a Master of Business Administration degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, where he specialized in Design and Manufacturing, he is also a Certified Agile Scrum Master. Product transfer, tool transfer, new technology transfer, and new product development are some of the areas that he has supervised throughout his thirty-year career in manufacturing. His experience spans a variety of industries, including automotive, consumer products, fast-moving consumer goods, toys, and semiconductors.

Mr. Derrick Gan is the Technical Business Development Manager at CADFEM SEA Pte. Ltd. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a Master’s degree in Engineering specializing in mold design from the University of Malaya. With 10 years of experience in the CAD/CAM/CAE industry, Derrick supports clients in leveraging simulation during the early design stages to reduce cost and time, fostering innovation, and bringing products to market more efficiently. His role also involves leading sales activities, managing sales accounts, guiding the sales team, and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers. Derrick is responsible for creating effective sales presentations, developing proposals, and networking with clients.

Mr. Preemadesa Peyadesa is an experienced Principal Technologist with extensive experience in electrical design engineering. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in Skudai, where he honed his technical skills and knowledge. In his current role, Preemadesa is responsible for developing cutting-edge Integrated Circuit (IC) design solutions and spearheading talent development initiatives within his organization. His expertise is instrumental in driving technological innovation, ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of advancements in the sector. Preemadesa’s commitment to excellence and continuous improvement reinforces his significant contributions to the industry.
