NORLIZA MOHAMED<\/strong> received her B. Eng. (Hons) and Master degree in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2001 and 2003 respectively. Later she continues her study UTM and received her PhD degree in 2013 from the same university. She currently works as a senior lecturer for Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics, UTM Kuala Lumpur. Her expertise is in optical communication particularly in radio over fiber system. Her research interest also includes optoelectronics devices, RF mixer design, antenna design, frequency conversion and wireless communication for 5G technologies. She also has expanded her research interest in Internet of Things (IoT) applications and horticulture technology particularly in indoor farming technology. Her vast knowledge in these areas has led her to publications in book chapters, journals and conference proceedings. Her research works has also qualified her to receive a total of 8 research innovation awards at the university level, national as well as international expositions.
