KUALA LUMPUR, 20 August<\/strong> \u2014 Practical expertise and knowledge-sharing were the main focus of the two-day Hands-on Smart Networking and IoT with Python: From Packet Analysis to Real-Time Data Visualization workshop, held on 19\u201320 August 2026 at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Kuala Lumpur.<\/p>\n

The workshop involved 12 lecturers and postgraduate students from the Ubiquitous Broadband Access Network Research Group (U-BAN RG), Faculty of Artificial Intelligence (FAI), and was facilitated by Prof. Ir. Dr. Sharifah Hafizah Syed Ariffin.<\/p>\n

Participants explored smart networking and IoT development from hardware to data processing and visualization. Practical activities included Raspberry Pi Pico W, sensors, calibration, wireless communication and MQTT-based data transmission. On the second day, participants used Jupyter Notebook and Node-RED to process IoT data and create interactive dashboards.<\/p>\n
