Introduction
INTRODUCTION
The goal of this program is to produce ICT professionals who have advanced knowledge and skills in the field of Business Intelligence, data science and analytics. They will not only gain knowledge and skills in manipulating and analyzing data (especially Big Data), in fact, they will also equipped with knowledge and skill as analysts in Business Intelligence, which seeks to design and implement an analytical transformation into a leading organization in accordance with the current needs of the country.
This program is offered through the mode of Open Distance Learning where the teaching and learning is conducted 100% online. Student shall complete the program in minimum of 4 semester and maximum of 8 semester. Several subjects being delivered and assessed is implemented in each semester. Assessment is based on presentation, case study, test and project conducted throughout the semester and it is executed through the LMS platform of UTM.

- Practice in-depth and specialist knowledge of Business Intelligence and Analytics to effectively support organizational decision making
- Demonstrate business acumen and higher-order thinking skills necessary to solve complex organizational information and decision problems through research, innovation and creativity which drive them to sustain intellectual curiosity and know how, and be lifelong learners
- Show adaptability in different roles, responsibilities, surroundings and communities, enabling them to contribute and lead in their organizations and society
- Demonstrate effective communication skills to a wide variety of audiences and practice professional, ethical, and societal responsibilities
PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES
1. Synthesize advanced information, concept, theory and specialized method to manage and resolve problems in business intelligence and analytics. PLO2: Construct solutions to complex problems related to business intelligence and analytics. PLO3: Apply practical and technical skills in business intelligence and analytics to develop effective solutions. PLO4: Collaborate with different people in learning and working communities and with other groups ethically and professionally. PLO5: Communicate clearly the knowledge, skills and ideas using appropriate methods to peers and clients either experts or non-experts. PLO6: Use a wide range of suitable digital technologies and appropriate software competently for business intelligence and analytics problem solution. PLO7: Apply mathematical or statistical and other quantitative elements in business information management for analysis, reporting and information delivery. PLO8: Demonstrate autonomy, leadership and responsibility in managing work within own team or with other teams in various situations. PLO9: Demonstrate self-advancement through continuous academic or professional development. PLO10: Lead or initiate entrepreneurial ventures or projects in business intelligence and analytics. Student will be awarded with Master of Science (Business Intelligence and Analytics) or after graduating and meet the conditions set by UTM as below:
• Pass all courses with a total accumulated credit of 45 and pass CGPA of 3.0 and above.
• Achieved all conditions given in the preparation of Masters Project
• An applicant has applied for the award of Master of Science
