The first FREE activity we did at FTIR was an online briefing by Prof Dr Fatin Abdullah. In this briefing, she had introduced \u00a0us to the idea and motivation of FREE implementation at UTM. During the briefing, we also conducted a simple survey to collect some information on the Active Learning implementation at FTIR.<\/p>\n

16 SGL was appointed by the Faculty to lead 122 academic staffs at FTIR. To help SGL in their task, we organized a SGL briefing delivered by Prof. Madya. Dr Naziha Binti Ahmad Azli,\u00a0Director of Curriculum Innovation & Development Unit (CIDU).<\/i><\/p>\n

During this knowledge sharing, we shared again the importance of FREE program at UTM. We also introduced the 16 SGL to \u00a0all academic staffs. Two interesting sharing sessions was delivered by Ir. Dr Liew Peng Yen (FREE GL for MJIIT) and Dr Norziha Megat Zainuddin (SGL for FTIR).<\/p>\n

As the new semester begin in October, we shared few quick guides to active learning by posting some poster on the Academic Whatsapp group or through their SGL group. We hope that by sharing these, our lecturer can quickly grab the simple AL tips to be used in their teaching.<\/p>\n

Workshop on Effective Implementation of Student-Centered Learning<\/strong><\/h2>\n
We organized an online-based Active Learning Workshop on the 25-26th February 2021. It was attended by 30 of FTIR academic staff. The Workshop was conducted by 2 well-know Professors in this field. They are Prof Dr Khairiyah Mohd Yusof and Assoc.Prof Dr Syed Ahmad Helmi.<\/h4>\n
